# Versions This page explains where to find the current versions of the ADI plugin and the Starter Edition Skills and how to check what you are running, and records what changed between releases. The documentation on this site describes the current release in the repository. If your installed version is older, some behaviour may differ from what you read here. ## Current versions The current versions are in the [adi-starter repository](https://github.com/agentic-data-intelligence/adi-starter), which the plugin installs from: - **The ADI plugin:** the `version` field in `plugin/.claude-plugin/plugin.json`. The plugin bundles both Skills and the connection to the MCP server, and is the recommended install - **Each Skill:** the `metadata.version` field at the top of its `SKILL.md`, in `plugin/skills/adi-authoring/` and `plugin/skills/adi-querying/` Installing the plugin gives you both Skills at the versions it ships with, so they are known to work together. If you install the Skills individually instead, keeping them in step is up to you. Both paths are covered in Getting Started. ## How to check what you are running **The plugin version** appears in your coding agent's plugin listing. **A Skill's version** is the `metadata.version` field at the top of its `SKILL.md`. **What the server will actually do** comes from `adi.get_capabilities`: your trust tier, the tools that are enabled, and which features are switched on. That is the answer that decides behaviour. Installed versions do not change it. If something is refused or missing, check there first. > [!NOTE] > **The MCP server does not report a release number.** There is no version string to check; `adi.get_capabilities` is the only place the server describes itself. ## Change log This log starts at the first public release. Changes made during the internal Alpha and the Closed Beta came before this documentation was published and are not recorded here.
